Professional Long Range Pneumatic Line Thrower for

Extreme River Rescue

For professional rescue teams that need maximum range in a portable package, the professional long range pneumatic line thrower reaches 350 meters on land and 250 meters over water.

Rescuer kneeling on river bank aiming flagship pneumatic line thrower in golden dusk light, rope flight over river, bridge shadow background, rescue operation

Kneeling on the dusk river bank in golden light, the operator aims the flagship pneumatic line thrower across the water. The 350m range clears gaps that shorter units cannot, and the five-angle adjustment system lets the crew fine-tune the barrel for wind and drop. Low-light launches like this are where the flagship earns its place, delivering a clean line when the rescue has already turned into evening. The five-angle system removes guesswork from every launch.

Two rescuers rehearse on the dusk training field with the flagship pneumatic line thrower, practicing the barrel angle and the rope feed until both are automatic. The adjustable base is the feature that sets this unit apart, and the team cycles through all five positions during the drill. By the time a real night call comes in, the crew can set the correct angle from the scene conditions alone. Angle selection becomes a habit long before the real call.

On the rocky riverbank with the rescue boat waiting offshore, the pneumatic line thrower fires the line that connects boat and shore. The anchor hook bites into the rock, so the boat crew can pull against a fixed point instead of fighting the current. This boat-to-shore pattern is the flagship scenario for 350m units, where range and holding power both have to be there in one shot. The flagship holds the line against the current until the boat ties off.

With the adjustable angle base locked for a precision aim, the operator checks the drop zone before pulling the trigger on the pneumatic line thrower. The flagship barrel holds the projectile steady even at maximum pressure, and the fine angle control corrects for a high bank or a low one. Precision like this matters most when the landing point is a rooftop, a deck or a narrow ledge. Crews confirm the drop zone twice before pulling the trigger.

Back on the rocky riverbank with the rescue boat in the distance, the flagship pneumatic line thrower repeats the same reliable launch that coastal teams depend on. The unit carries enough cylinder power for repeated shots, so a missed first line is corrected instead of ending the attempt. For professional teams, that repeatability is the difference between a rescue and a recovery. One launcher keeps the whole team ready for a second attempt.

What Is the 350m Professional Thrower?
This is the top of the long-range line. The standard 230m unit covers most wide-river needs, but when the gap is 300+ meters, this long range rescue thrower is thelong range rescue thrower answer.

It uses the same 8.5MPa high pressure pneumatic thrower platform as the 230m model, but with a refined barrel and angle system to maximize distance. As a high pressure pneumatic thrower, it delivers consistent, repeatable performance across multiple shots from a single cylinder fill.

When procurement teams search for a long range rescue thrower, they usually compare three things: maximum range under wind, angle adjustment flexibility, and cylinder capacity. This unit delivers on all three.

The 5-angle system lets you dial in the exact range for the target.
Rather than guessing by holding the launcher at an approximate tilt.
The 1.5L integrated carbon cylinder gives enough air for 5-8 shots per fill without needing an external air bank.
The 5-angle adjustment is the key feature.
Instead of holding the launcher at a fixed angle by hand.
You select from 5 preset angle positions.

This means you can switch from a 50-meter close shot to a 350-meter maximum shot in seconds, without re-calibrating your aim.

For technical rescue teams, this speed matters , when the target distance changes mid-operation, you adjust and fire quickly. This is what separates a professional long range rescue thrower from a fixed-angle unit.

The integrated 1.5L carbon cylinder keeps the system self-contained.
No external air tank to carry, no hoses to connect.
The cylinder is part of the launcher body.
At 8.5kg net weight, it is heavier than the portable units but still manageable for vehicle-based rescue teams.
As a high pressure pneumatic thrower, it operates at 8.5MPa , higher than the 7MPa portable units but lower than the 20MPa Korean backpack, balancing power with ease of use.
Why carbon fiber?Carbon fiber cylinders are lighter than steel or aluminum , the 1.5L carbon cylinder weighs significantly less than an equivalent steel cylinder, which keeps the overall launcher weight manageable.
Carbon fiber also has a good safety record: when a carbon cylinder fails, it fails gradually rather than explosively, which is a safety advantage for rescue equipment.
What makes this "professional" rather than just "long range"?The 5-angle system is the main differentiator.
The 230m long range unit has a fixed angle , you hold it at an approximate tilt.
The 350m professional unit has 5 preset angle positions that you select by dial, which gives you consistent, repeatable range.

Operators use the 5 angle line thrower setting to match distance without guesswork.

For technical rescue teams who fire at varying distances throughout an operation, this precision matters.

Each parameter of this pneumatic line thrower
The pneumatic line thrower is the first rope system checked in the pre-deployment list.
Buyers often compare the pneumatic line thrower against manual rope bags.
The 8.5MPa±0.1 pressure means consistent performance shot after shot
The 350m land range and 250m water range cover the widest typical waterway rescue scenarios.
The 8.5kg net weight balances power with portability , heavy enough for professional use, light enough for vehicle-based teams to move between positions.

Professional long range pneumatic line thrower on adjustable angle base for precision aiming during professional flood and river rescue operations across wide water gaps

5-Angle Adjustment System
The 5-angle system lets you quickly select launch angle based on the target distance.
The pneumatic line thrower holds its place in every flood response plan.
A quick dry of the rope keeps the pneumatic line thrower ready for the next call.
Lower angles for close shots (50-100m), higher angles for maximum range (300-350m).
Instead of guessing the angle by holding the launcher at an approximate tilt, you click into a preset position and fire.
This is especially useful in dynamic rescue situations where the target distance changes.
You might need a 100m shot to a nearby victim, then a 300m shot to someone farther away.
With 5-angle settings, you switch positions in seconds instead of re-aiming from scratch each time.
The angle adjustment is mechanical , no electronics, no batteries.
A dial or lever selects the angle, and the launcher locks into position.
This reliability matters in rescue: the system works even if wet, dirty, or exposed to extreme conditions.
No software to fail, no battery to run out.
How does the angle selection affect range? In basic projectile physics, the optimal angle for maximum range (without air resistance) is 45 degrees.
In real conditions with rope drag and wind.
The optimal angle is somewhat lower , typically 30-40 degrees for maximum range.
The 5-angle settings cover the useful range from about 15 degrees (close shots, flat trajectory) to 45 degrees (maximum range, high arc).
This gives you flexibility: use a low angle for direct.
The pneumatic line thrower carries the rescue line where boats cannot go.
Flat shots at nearby targets, and a high angle for lobbed shots at distant targets.

Rope System
The 410-meter projectile rope of this pneumatic line thrower is the longest in the series.
The pneumatic line thrower works with standard CO2 cartridges.
At maximum range, you need rope longer than the stated distance to allow for sag and drag.
The 410m line covers the full 350m land range plus margin.

Two Rope Strengths: Land vs Water
Two rope strengths: the land rope at 2360N for static anchor and haul work, and the water rope at 7150N for dynamic water rescue loads.
The 7150N water rope is built for pulling a person through river current , the dynamic forces of moving water require a much stronger line than static land work.
Spare ropes are available separately.
For professional teams, we recommend keeping at least one spare land rope and one spare water rope per unit.
Long-range shots put more stress on the rope , friction, sag, and wind loading all add up.
A worn rope that snaps mid-rescue is a serious safety failure.

Inspecting a 410m Rescue Rope
How do you inspect a 410m rescue rope?Run it through your hands slowly from end to end , all 410 meters.
On the flagship model, look for: broken filaments (small fuzz that wasn't there when new).
Flat sections crushed by rocks, sun-bleached fibers, chemical stains, and stiff water-damaged spots.
At 410 meters, you need to check the entire length, not just the visible parts.
A rope may appear healthy at the ends yet be damaged mid-length.
That appears only under tension, the last moment you want to discover it.
On the flagship model, storage matters even more for long ropes.
A 410m rope takes up a lot of space , it needs to be spooled properly on a dedicated reel.
Never crammed into a carry sack.
The flagship case includes a dedicated rope compartment for exactly this.
After a water job, rinse the rope in fresh water and dry it fully before re-spooling.
Or silt in the weave degrades fibers over time, right when strength is critical.

Applications

Major waterway rescue is the primary use.
At dusk, the pneumatic line thrower still performs when teams must reach a stranded boat.
On rivers 200-400 meters wide, the 350m unit covers the full distance from bank to bank.
Water authority teams on major rivers use this as their primary long-range rescue tool.
Offshore and port operations use it for transfers between vessels or from shore to a vessel that is anchored far out.
In open water, where a boat cannot reach due to depth or weather, the 350m thrower bridges the gap.
This professional pneumatic line thrower is the standard choice for maritime rescue teams.
Flood rescue operations on a large scale benefit from the maximum range.
In a wide flood zone where victims are scattered across hundreds of meters of flooded terrain, the 350m unit gives the team reach that shorter equipment cannot match.
Bridge rescue on very long spans is another use case.
When a bridge spans a wide river, the distance from bridge deck to water can be significant , combined with horizontal current drift, the anchor point needs maximum range to reach the victim.
Let's look at a typical major-waterway rescue scenario.
A river is 300 meters wide, with a strong current.
A small boat has capsized in the middle.
And the three crew members are clinging to the overturned hull.
A rescue vessel struggles to reach them fast, the current is strong and debris blocks the way.
The water authority team sets up on the near bank, carrying the 350m professional thrower.
They select the highest angle setting, aim across the river.
The line drops beside the crew, they clip on and are hauled to safety.
Without the 350m range, the team would have had to launch a boat into the current , a much slower and more dangerous operation.
Another scenario: offshore transfer.
Two work boats are operating in open water.
They need to transfer a line for towing.
A standard line-throwing gun lacks the reach for this job.
The 350m thrower bridges the gap.
Allowing the vessels to connect a tow line.
The 5-angle system lets the crew quickly select the right angle for the 250m distance, fire, and complete the transfer.
Flood rescue on a large scale: a residential neighborhood is flooded.
Water covering the streets to a depth of 2-3 meters.
Victims are scattered across hundreds of meters of flooded terrain.
A boat cannot navigate the flooded streets because of submerged cars.
The rescue team carries the 350m thrower on foot to a position near the farthest victims.
They fire a line across 300 meters of flooded streets, the victim grabs it, clips on.
And the crew is hauled in along the line.
The maximum range made this possible , a shorter thrower would have fallen short.

Is this the right unit? Best for professional teams that need 300m+ range. If you only need 100-200m, the 230m unit is lighter and cheaper. For 640m extreme range see the PTQ13-Y640S440Q180.

How to Use
Step 1 Inspect: Check launcher, cylinder pressure, angle selector, safety pin, rope condition.
Routine maintenance of the pneumatic line thrower takes under five minutes.

Step 2 Select Angle: Choose the angle setting matching your target distance.
Lower angle for close, higher angle for long range.
The flagship pneumatic line thrower adds a five-angle adjustment system for precise shots.

Step 3 Aim and Fire: Shoulder the launcher, align with target, squeeze trigger.
Expect recoil.
Never point at people.

Step 4 Adjust and Repeat: If the shot falls short or long, adjust the angle setting and fire again.

The 5-angle system makes quick corrections easy.
How do you know which angle to use?It comes with practice.
Start at the middle angle for medium-range shots, then adjust up.
Or down based on the result.
If the projectile hits the ground short of the target, increase the angle.
Overshoot? Reduce the launch angle.
On the flagship model, wind also affects this: a headwind reduces range, so aim a bit higher
A tailwind extends the flight, aim the flagship slightly lower.
Fine-tuning the flagship comes with practice, so training is essential.

Safety Warnings
Never point this pneumatic line thrower at people, animals or property.
Recoil is significant , proper stance and grip required.
Two-person operation recommended.
Keep safety pin engaged until ready to fire.
Do not exceed 8.5MPa working pressure.
Wear eye protection during practice.
Long range shots require wind judgment , crosswind affects trajectory.
Proper training required before live use.
Carbon cylinder requires hydrostatic testing per regulation.
The carbon cylinder is a pressure vessel , do not expose to heat or open flame.
Do not modify the launcher or use non-standard parts. Only use manufacturer-recommended consumables.
In cold weather, cylinder pressure may decrease. Allow extra range margin in low-temperature conditions.
After firing, the launcher body may be warm from the gas expansion. Let it cool before handling the breech area.
On a boat deck or slippery surface, the recoil could knock you off balance. Practice on solid ground first.

Training and Drills
The 5-angle system of this pneumatic line thrower
OEM logos can be printed on the pneumatic line thrower carry case.
Rescue teams store the pneumatic line thrower at every flood station.
looks simple but requires practice to use effectively.
New operators should learn which angle corresponds to which distance range, and how to adjust when the shot falls short or long.
We advise a structured path: classroom familiarization, dry runs dry runs, low-pressure firing, then full-pressure drills.
For professional rescue teams, this pneumatic line thrower enters service after operators have completed advanced water rescue certification.
The angle system adds a layer of complexity , it is not just aim and fire, it is selecting the right angle for the right distance, judging wind, and making quick corrections.
Annual recertification covers: equipment inspection, angle mechanism check, live firing at various distances, windage practice, and emergency troubleshooting (what to do if the angle selector jams, what if the rope tangles.
How long does training take? For operators who already have advanced water rescue certification, the thrower-specific training takes about 8-12 hours: classroom familiarization (2 hours).
Dry practice at zero pressure (1 hour), low-pressure firing ( (2-3 hours), and full-pressure drills at a training facility (3-4 hours).
The 5-angle system adds complexity , operators need to learn which angle corresponds to which distance, and how to adjust when the shot falls short or long.
A typical drill goes like this: scenario: a training boat is 300 meters out on a lake.
The team practices: set up the launcher, check cylinder pressure, select the appropriate angle setting.
Load the projectile, aim at the boat, fire, confirm the rope reaches the boat, then recover the line.
The team repeats the drill at varied angles and in different wind.
The crew also rehearses what to do when the shot falls short, adjusting the angle setting, fire again, and re-evaluate.
Key points to confirm before the first shot: match the angle setting to the target distance, hold the launcher firmly against recoil, and account for crosswind drift.
Underestimating the recoil (they let the launcher jump when they fire), not accounting for crosswind (the projectile drifts sideways), and not having the rope spool ready (the rope tangles during flight).
On the flagship model, training should explicitly cover these error modes.

How do you decide.
On the flagship model, which model is right for your team?Start by answering one question: what is the widest gap you need to cross? If your rescue scenarios are mostly on rivers under 200 meters wide.
The 230m model is the standard pick for wide rivers, lighter and more affordable.
If you regularly face 300+ meter gaps , major rivers, wide estuaries, offshore transfers , the 350m professional unit is the right choice.
It adds the 5-angle system.
And a carbon cylinder for better performance and reliability.
For distances beyond 400m, the 640m flagship is the only realistic option.
That is a specialized tool for specialized missions , most teams never need that kind of range.
The 350m professional unit is the sweet spot for professional teams that need reliable, adjustable long-range performance without going to the extreme end of the spectrum.

Unsure which model fits? Send us your scenario and we will suggest the right flagship option.
Let's break down the typical buyer profiles in more detail.National-level water rescue teams
choose this unit because they handle rescue on major rivers rivers and waterways , waterways that are 200-400 meters wide.
A standard 80-130m thrower cannot reach across these rivers.
And even the 230m long range unit falls short on the widest waterways.
The 350m professional unit gives them the reach they need for their most challenging rescue scenarios.

Offshore oil and gas support
Operators use it for ship-to-ship line transfers in open water.
When two support vessels are operating near an offshore rig, the distance between them may be 200-300 meters.
A standard line-throwing gun lacks the reach for this job.
The 350m thrower bridges the gap, allowing the vessels to transfer a line for towing, cargo transfer.
The 5-angle system lets the crew quickly select the right angle for the distance.
Port authorities on major waterways use it for rescue operations within large ports.
A major port may have navigation channels 300+ meters wide, with commercial vessels moving through.
When someone goes overboard in a wide channel, the rescue team needs needs equipment that can reach across the channel quickly , the 350m thrower fills that role.

Professional search and rescue organizations
Deploy this for large-scale flood response.
Across a broad flood plain, survivors can be spread over hundreds of meters of water.
The 350m thrower gives them the ability to reach victims across flooded streets where boats cannot navigate.
The 8.5kg weight means it is designed for vehicle transport between positions, which fits the professional deployment model.
